aug 26, 2006 Citizen Fish news..........Couple of days practicing the new songs this weekend, before heading off to record in a studio in Bristol (UK). We've got long time Cit Fish trumpetist Alex coming along with Matt on tromburn. Oh, and we're going on a band 'works outing' to see LOC at TJs in Newport on Saturday night. Usual sketch, drink all their rider, get drunk and obnoxious, all fall out, get thrown off Cracktoberfest tour, split cd off..........ahem. Moderation, gentlemen, please.... july 2006 got a few Subhumans gigs coming up in July 2006. On the Cit Fish front, rumours abound of us joining Leftover Crack on the US west coast part of their tour in October 2006. More rumours abound of the Fish and LOC getting together some sort of split LP. All sounds good to me. Also, Silas form Bath UK has joined Cit Fish on drum duty, due to Totsky´s other-whereness, so barring bizarre drummer accidents, Silas should be the rumoured drummer for the above rumoured gigs and recordings.
may 2006 Just back from the US after what for us was a marathon 5 weeks, of coughing, spluttering, sweating, shivering and Jack Daniels. Still coughing now, a week after getting home. Biggest of thanks to Lauren for tour managing and driving, and not dying on tour despite weeks of above mentioned tour illness. Capn Jasp, of course, single-handedly stearing the good ship merch through often turbulent and rocky waters. And Margie and Laurel at DoItBooking, without whom we wouldn´t have done it. Big shout to A Global Threat, Born Dead, World Inferno Friendship Society, Naked Aggression, Clit 45, Signal Lost, Caustic Christ, Gorilla Angreb, Mouth Sewn Shut, The Sainte Catherines and LOC, all of whom we toured and hung out with for different legs of the tour. Got a sneaky advance copy of the World Inferno Friendship Society's new CD, out in July 2006 I believe. Fantastic of course, so go buy it! They out on tour with Leftover Crack soon, so make sure you catch them if they're anywhere near you. Got to hang out with our old friend Lance Hahn from J Church for a few days, whilst he was on the road with Signal Lost from Austin Tx. He's nearing the end of his formidable project of putting together a book about the early 80's UK bands, featuring in depth interviews with Crass, Peni, Flux, Subhumans, Mob, Zounds, Conflict etc ad infinitum..... every band and it's off-shoots.
